New Delhi:(Page3 News Network)-To mark World Heart Day, the ‘Billion Hearts Beating (BHB) Foundation’ – a campaigner against the risks of heart disease and a partner of the Apollo Group of Hospitals – today announced its partnership with the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in New Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Bangalore.
DrPrathap C Reddy and the Director General NCClit the ceremonial lamp to begin a new chapter in the war against heart ailments, seeking to reduce the cardiovascular disease burden in the country. Such partnerships will help spread awareness in the country, in turn helping lessen the chances of heart diseases.
Around 3,000 NCC cadets joined the BHB campaign against heart diseases and pledged to lead a heart healthy life. The campaign aims at informing people about the basic actions they can introduce into their daily lives to lead a healthy heart existence. To enhance and sustain good heart health in the country, the cadets across five metros – New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata – took the pledge to mark World Heart Day.
