Tourism Minister Amrita Rawat in a meeting held at  Vidhan Bhawan on Friday to discuss tourism potentiality around Tehri Lake  expressed her discontentment over non expenditure of fund and slow pace of  work. She said that the non completion of work in stipulated time would result  in increase of the budget.
Minister Rawat pointing out that there was lots of  potential for tourism around Tehri Lake, directed the officers to prepare the  action plan keeping in confidence the local public representatives and keeping  in mind the Tehri City. She advocated preparing plan for  Pratapnagr-Tehri-Ghansali Tourism Circuit. She asked the officers of Bhagiarti  River Valley Development Authority to immediately prepare Master Plan for the  same. She expected from THDC that it would provide jobs to dependents of  deceased persons and local people under Veer Chandra Garhwali Tourism Self  Employment Scheme, maintain roads, forest and beauty of the area. 
Various reports pertaining to organizing state level  sports festival, water sports, Eco Tourism, Adventure Sports and establishment  of Water Adventure Centre near Tehri   Lake were presented  during the meeting. The local MLAS and public representatives gave important  suggestions on constructions of Trekking    Route, Museum, Helipad, Eco Parks,  encouragement of Paragliding fishery industry and adventure Sports activities. 
The meeting was attended by MP Satpal Maharaj, Tehri  Zila Panchayat Chairman Ratan Singh Gunsola, MLA Paratapnagar Vikram Singh  Negi, Vice Chairman Bhagirati River Valley Development Authority BD Raturi,  local MLAs and officers of THDC.
